Edgewood 96ers Visit Raleigh: A Championship-Level Experience

The Edgewood 96ers organization would like to formally extend our sincere appreciation to the Raleigh Firebirds for welcoming our leadership and staff to observe their recent training camp in Raleigh.

As the 2025 South Atlantic Division Champions in The Basketball League (TBL), the Firebirds have established a standard of professionalism, preparation, and player development that commands respect across the professional basketball landscape. Being granted access to observe your training environment provided invaluable insight into what it takes to build and sustain a championship culture.

Professionalism at Every Level

From practice structure and tempo control to communication standards and player accountability, the organization demonstrated:

• Detailed session planning

• High-intensity competitive drills

• Clear leadership hierarchy

• Strong locker room chemistry

• Commitment to conditioning and skill refinement

The efficiency of the camp reflected an organization that understands both performance metrics and culture development.

A Championship Blueprint

What stood out most was the intentionality behind every rep. The attention to fundamentals, situational execution, and defensive discipline was not random — it was systemic. Championship results are not accidental, and the Firebirds’ approach clearly reflects that philosophy.

For our staff, the experience served as both education and inspiration. Exposure to a championship-caliber training environment allows us to refine our own systems, strengthen our operational structure, and elevate expectations within the 96ers program.

Beyond the on-court lessons, we are grateful for the hospitality and openness shown by your coaching staff and front office. Basketball is strongest when organizations collaborate, share insight, and push each other toward higher standards.
